With the Covid-19 situation in Karnataka being considered sensitive, Forest and Kannada and Culture and Nodal Minister for Karnataka Covid War room, Call Centre , Medical counselling to the infected , Arvind Limbavali has said that there are plans to open triaging centres for complete physical tests in 10 districts of the state.
Limbavali, held a video conference in the city today, at the Arogya Soudha on Magadi Road and spoke to city Deputy Commissioners corporation commissioners, district health officers of 10 districts.
Upon recieving information from the officers on the Covid-19 control workstatus in the respective districts, the minister said that the work would be upgraded to make it more effective. Every district would have ward-level triaging centres in the urban areas, said Limbavali, and asked the district administration officers for their opinion on the matter.
He told the officers to check if the districts had the facilities, including human resource, required to open the physical triaging centres and inform him immediately.
He also received suggestions on starting mobile testing centres from the officers and said that the matter would be brought to the notice of the chief minister before taking a decision.
Deputy commissioners from Dakshina Kannada, Hubballi-Dharwad, Kalburagi, Davanagere, Belagavi, Shivamogga, Udupi, Kodagu and Mandya attended the conference.
