Chennai: Exciting news for Superstar Rajinikanth fans! The official title and much-awaited first look of the actor’s 173rd film (tentatively called Thalaivar 173) have been officially unveiled today.
Produced by legendary actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan under his prestigious banner Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), the highly anticipated action-thriller has been officially titled ‘Dharman’.
The grand title and first-look launch took place during a traditional muhurat puja ceremony held in Chennai. Along with the film’s cast and crew, several prominent personalities from the Tamil film industry graced the star-studded event.
A ‘Deadly Doctor’ Avatar
The newly released first-look poster showcases Rajinikanth in a completely refreshing and intense avatar. The Superstar is seen donning a doctor’s surgical scrubs and gloves inside an operating theatre backdrop, holding a medical scalpel in his hand. Sporting a sleek smirk and his signature sunglasses, Rajinikanth’s character features blood-stained hands, hinting at a very gritty, high-octane medical thriller.
About the Film
Directed by hit filmmaker Ashwath Marimuthu (known for Oh My Kadavule and Dragon), Dharman marks a historic coming-together of two biggest icons of Indian cinema—Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan—with the latter backing the project as the primary producer. The film’s music is being composed by rockstar Anirudh Ravichander, while the acclaimed duo Anbariv will handle the stunt choreography.
